Peña de Bernal

Bernal, one of Mexico’s most-visited Magical Towns, is dominated by a 433m high peak, the third largest monolith in the world. Walk around it, learn about the tribes that lived here and explore the beautiful downtown area, including a museum devoted to Mexican folk masks. Later, enjoy a traditional Mexican lunch with a fabulous view. This fun, short tour to one of the most sought-after destinations in the Bajío area makes for a fascinating and relaxing day of history, culture, and good food. 

Mineral de Pozos

Visit one of the oldest mines in the state and learn about Mexico’s colonial period. Explore abandoned buildings and descend into the mine shaft. Dolores Hidalgo and Atotonilco

It’s home to a tree-lined plaza, splendid church, museums and murals. The devout UNESCO World Heritage town of Atotonilco houses a majestic 18thcentury church considered the Sistine Chapel of Latin America. Adorned with religious frescos, it’s a stunning example of Mexican Baroque.

Guanajuato

One of the most beautiful and colorful cities in Mexico, Guanajuato is famous for hosting the international Cervantino festival each October, a cultural buffet inspired by author Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. The UNESCO town, which prospered in its silver mining heyday, was also the birthplace of famous muralist, Diego Rivera.
